Near The End

““But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

## Encouragement & Tears

When you read today’s four verses, were you encouraged? Did you smile? Did you shout for joy and dance with all your might? When we read it, I think we need to have joy in our hearts and tears in our eyes. The Savior is coming.

## Self-Check

As I was praying and thinking about what I could possibly write about when it comes to these verses without going into an in-depth Bible Study, I felt it would be best to let you ponder the returning Lord. For those of us who have a relationship with Jesus, we’re getting to see our Savior face-to-face and live forever with our Creator. For those who don’t know Him, they will see Him face-to-face and hear “depart”. You know someone that will hear the former and the latter. Today, let’s simply thank God for drawing us to Himself that we might become children of God (John 1:12), and pray for those we know that don’t know Him. *In the next few devotionals written by David, he’ll expound more on the End Time events.
